The Eugene School District AVID 4J6K Strides for Education is a flat and fast course just above the banks of the beautiful Willamette River. The race will take place on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at 2:00 pm.
This six kilometer (3.73 mile) course has its chip start/finish line on the Eugene School District Office grounds, adjacent to the city of Eugene’s Owen Rose Garden. Heading first to the Defazio Bridge where it crosses the river, the path then follows the north bank trail to the Greenway Bridge by Valley River where it crosses and loops back to the finish line. Parking
We encourage carpooling, but there will be space for as many as 150 cars on the Eugene School District office grounds. There will also be some nearby on-street parking available. An overflow option is to park at Valley River by the Greenway Bridge which is then about a 12 minute walk, or short jog, to the starting line.
